Privacy Policy

What information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Last updated: September 24, 2026

In short: we collect only what we need to run the site: your name, email and password if you register, your email if you join the newsletter, and standard usage data through Google tools. We share your details with an advertiser only if you submit an advertisement enquiry form and tick the consent box. We never ask for your bank account, card, PIN, OTP, Aadhaar or PAN details.

Overview

BankingKnowledge.ai (“we”, “us”, “the Site”) is an educational website about banking, owned and operated by Sreeyush Sudhakaran from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit https://bankingknowledge.ai, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.

By using the Site you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using the Site. For information about cookies specifically, see our Cookie Policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account registration: your name, email address and a password of your choice.
  • Newsletter: your email address. Subscriber emails are stored in the Site’s own database.
  • Contact messages: your name, email address and whatever you write to us when you use the contact form or email info@bankingknowledge.ai.
  • Advertisement enquiries: if you click an advertisement on the Site and submit the enquiry form that opens, we collect your full name, country, mobile number, WhatsApp number and email address, together with a record of your consent and the date and time you submitted it. This form is optional and is only submitted when you tick the consent box.

Information collected automatically

  • Your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system.
  • The pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date, time and duration of your visit.
  • Approximate location (country or city level) derived from your IP address.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers, described in our Cookie Policy.

Information we do not want

Please never send us bank account numbers, card numbers, PINs, OTPs, internet-banking passwords, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, or copies of identity documents, whether through the contact form, by email or in any other way. We do not need them, and we cannot help with account-specific problems. For those, contact your bank directly.

How we use information

  • To create and manage your account and keep it secure.
  • To send the newsletter to people who have subscribed.
  • To reply to your questions, corrections and feedback.
  • To pass on your advertisement enquiry to the advertiser, but only if you submitted an enquiry form and gave consent.
  • To understand which content is useful and to improve the Site.
  • To detect and prevent spam, abuse and security incidents.
  • To display advertising that helps cover the cost of running the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Analytics and Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages are read most and how people arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data, which is reported to us in aggregated form. We load it through Google Tag Manager, a tool that manages the tags on the Site. Tag Manager itself does not collect personal information, but the tags it loads may.

We also use Google Search Console to monitor how the Site appears in Google Search. It reports search queries and technical issues and does not identify individual visitors to us.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To learn how Google handles data from its partner sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Site uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Ads on the Site are placed automatically by Google. We do not control which ads you see, and an ad does not mean that we recommend the advertised product or company.

You can manage or turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or use the opt-out tools at aboutads.info. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent to personalised advertising where the law requires it.

Google Fonts

The Site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests the fonts, Google receives standard request information such as your IP address and browser details.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only in the situations below. We never share your details with an advertiser unless you submit an advertisement enquiry form and tick the consent box.

  • Google, for analytics, tag management, advertising and fonts as described above.
  • Advertisers, with your consent only. If you submit an advertisement enquiry form and tick the consent box, we share the details you entered with the advertiser of that advertisement so it can contact you by phone call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about that advertisement and its products or services. Once shared, the advertiser is responsible for how it handles your details under its own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for that use. A copy of each enquiry is also emailed to our own mailbox.
  • Our web hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf to keep the Site and our email running.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights, users or the Site.

How long we keep it

  • Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
  • Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable record.
  • Advertisement enquiries are kept for as long as needed for the advertisement and a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings we choose in Google Analytics.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, protected session cookies and access controls on our database. Passwords are not stored in readable form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please choose a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. These rights come from laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, and the EU and UK GDPR.

To use any of these rights, email info@bankingknowledge.ai from the address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity first. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, email us with the subject “Unsubscribe” and we will remove you. To withdraw your consent for an advertisement enquiry, email us with the subject “Withdraw consent”. We will stop sharing your details and, on request, delete the record we hold.

International processing

The Site is operated from the United Arab Emirates and is read mostly by people in India and elsewhere. Our hosting provider and Google may process information in other countries, including countries whose data-protection rules differ from yours. By using the Site you understand that your information may be processed in those locations.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
