Please read this first. The information on BankingKnowledge.ai is general and educational. It is not personal financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Always confirm details with your bank or the relevant regulator before you act.
Educational purpose only
BankingKnowledge.ai was created by Sreeyush Sudhakaran to share knowledge about how banking works. Every article, table and FAQ is written to help you understand concepts such as accounts, loans, cards and payment systems. None of it is written for your particular circumstances.
Not financial or legal advice
Nothing on the Site is a recommendation to open, use, buy or sell any banking, credit, insurance or investment product, or to take any specific action. We are not a bank, a lender, a licensed financial or investment adviser, a lawyer or a tax professional, and we do not provide personalised advice. Before making a financial decision, speak to a qualified professional who knows your situation.
Accuracy and changing rules
Banking rules change frequently. Interest rates, fees, transaction limits, eligibility criteria, timings and regulatory requirements differ between banks and can be revised at any time by the bank or by regulators such as the Reserve Bank of India. We try to keep content correct and current, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or up to date. Where a page mentions a limit, charge or rate, treat it as a guide and check the latest figure with your bank or the official source.
Independence and personal views
The Site is a personal knowledge-sharing project. The author works in banking technology in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but writes here in a personal capacity. The content reflects his own understanding and views. It does not represent the views, policies or positions of his employer or of any bank or organisation he is or has been associated with, and no employer reviews or endorses it.
No affiliation
BankingKnowledge.ai is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any bank, financial institution, payment network or regulator, including the Reserve Bank of India, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the Central Bank of the UAE. Names of institutions and products appear only to explain how things work. All trademarks belong to their owners.
Examples and figures
Worked examples, sample calculations and illustrative numbers on the Site are simplified to help you learn. Real products carry additional terms, charges and conditions. Do not rely on an example as a quote or as a prediction of what a bank will offer you.
External links
We link to official and third-party websites so you can read primary sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A link is not an endorsement.
Advertising
The Site displays advertisements, some served automatically by Google AdSense and some placed directly by advertisers. Advertisements are labelled as such, and they are not recommendations or endorsements from us. We do not accept payment to write, review or rank editorial content about a bank or financial product. If sponsored editorial content is ever introduced, it will be clearly labelled. See our Editorial Policy.
Some advertisements open an enquiry form. If you submit it and tick the consent box, your details are passed to that advertiser, who may contact you. We do not endorse the advertiser or its products or services, we are not a party to any dealings between you and the advertiser, and we are not responsible for how the advertiser uses your details once shared. Please read the advertiser’s own terms before you buy or sign anything, and see our Privacy Policy.
Use at your own risk
You use the information on the Site at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on it. See our Terms of Use for details.
