The standards we hold ourselves to when we explain money and banking to you.

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Our mission

Banking is full of jargon, and many people make money decisions without fully understanding the systems behind them. BankingKnowledge.ai exists to explain how banking actually works, in clear language and with practical examples, so that readers can ask better questions and make better-informed choices. It is a knowledge-sharing project, not a sales channel for any bank or product.

Who writes the content

The Site is written and edited by Sreeyush Sudhakaran, a solution architect with more than 14 years of experience in information technology in the banking domain, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is responsible for what is published. Read more on the author page.

How an article is made

  1. Choose a real question. Topics come from questions people commonly ask about banking, from reader suggestions, and from gaps in existing explanations.
  2. Research primary sources. We start with regulator publications, official circulars and bank documentation rather than other blogs.
  3. Write for understanding. We define terms, add worked examples and explain the “why” behind a rule, not just the rule.
  4. Check facts and figures. Numbers, limits, dates and names are checked against the source before publishing.
  5. Publish with context. Time-sensitive pages show when they were last updated and point to the official source for the latest figures.

Sources we rely on

Wherever possible we use primary and official sources:

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for Indian banking and payment rules.
  • The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and other government or regulatory bodies for market-related topics.
  • The Central Bank of the UAE for UAE-related topics.
  • International standard-setters such as the Bank for International Settlements and the Basel Committee for global banking concepts.
  • Official websites, product terms and fee schedules published by banks themselves.

We do not present forum posts, social media claims or unverified figures as fact.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help with tasks such as outlining, drafting or improving clarity. AI does not decide what is published. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked against the sources above and edited by the author before it goes live, and the author is accountable for the final content. We do not publish AI output that we have not verified.

Keeping content current

Banking rules change. We revisit pages when regulators announce changes, when readers report problems, and as part of periodic reviews. Where a figure is likely to change, such as a transaction limit or a fee, we say so and link to the official source. If a page has not been reviewed recently, please check the latest position with your bank or the regulator.

Corrections

We correct mistakes openly. If you find an error, email info@bankingknowledge.ai or use the contact page, and tell us the page and what looks wrong. We will verify it and fix it, and where a correction changes the meaning of an article we will note that on the page.

Independence and advertising

  • No paid coverage. We do not accept payment or gifts in exchange for writing, reviewing, ranking or recommending any bank or financial product in our articles. If sponsored or affiliate editorial content is ever introduced, it will be clearly labelled.
  • Ads are separate. Advertisements, whether served by Google AdSense or placed directly by an advertiser, are labelled “Advertisement” and kept separate from our writing. Advertisers cannot influence our content.
  • Personal capacity. The author works in the banking industry but writes here in a personal capacity. The Site is independent of his employer and of any bank. See the Disclaimer.

Care with financial topics

Content about money can affect people’s lives, so we hold it to a higher standard. We explain and inform, we do not tell readers what to buy, and we make clear that our content is general education and not personal advice.
